Boyup Brook has a rich local
history and many significant buildings in the center of the township.
Follow the Boyup Brook Heritage Trail and learn about early
days of
the Police Precinct built in 1911. The first court session was held on
18th
August of that year when the accused was fined one shilling for
fighting.
Or learn about the Railway
Precinct built in 1909 when the railway line was extended from
Donnybrook. There was a large iron tank on a high stand to supply water
for the steam engines. The line was extended to Katanning in 1911. The
last train to visit Boyup Brook was the Hotham Valley Railway on 7th
December 1986.
