Welcome to Boyup Brook!!

Boyup Brook Visitor CentreBoyup Brook, a short 31 km drive from Bridgetown and 300 km from Perth, was declared a town site on the 9th of February 1900. Boyup Brook owes its name to a Noongar word believed to mean "Place of big stones" or "Place of big smoke".

This is a Shire of mainly traditional agricultural pursuits (sheep, cattle and grain) and has a past history of timber milling, fruit growing and flax (for ropes and webbing). In recent years a larger variety of agricultural products such as wine grapes, olives and venison have emerged.

Boyup Brook offers fabulous bush walks and canoeing opportunities in winter and also a magnificent bridle trail.
